13a match report against Wynberg

On Saturday was the last time we were going to play together as the ‘blues’. For some it was their last, for others it was just the beginning of a long road ahead. The game started slow with us building up a few phases, before a mistake off a lineout, allowing them to break away and score. When the second opportunity came from a lineout just 5m away, we managed to capitalise on it through a great maul from the pack, scoring in the corner. A couple silly mistakes followed giving them the opportunity to score again. Half time score 12-5 to Wynberg.

The second half started strong with the forwards dominating at the breakdown and scrums. We found ourselves close to their try line. Spreading it wide, we managed to score in the corner. With some more very strong runs we only managed to get 1 more try. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough. Full time score 31-17 to Wynberg.

Special mentions must go to Mr. Marshall, Mr. Laros and the boys on making this season a memorable one.
