1st XV – Rian Van Der Westhuizen

Playing career –  Strand High School (1st XV), Strand Somerset West RFC 1st XV, WP Defence RFC 1st XV, WP U20, WP Clubs U21.
Coaching Career – Milnerton High school 1st XV, Gardens Tech RFC U21 Super League, WP U21 Clubs WP U21 Protea Academic, WP U21, SASSU, SACS 1st XV, Craven Week Southern Regional and Selector for WP U21 and SA Technikons.

1st XV Manager – John Wegerhoff

Master in charge of rugby at Grey, Union High, Milnerton. 1^st XV coach these 3 + Plumstead. Qualified Union ref (NEC). Admim Manager SACS 5^th - 9^th. Coached UCT U20 1981. Except for SACS, all a LONG time ago !

 

 

 

 

 

2nd XV – Barry Van Selm

Master in Charge of Rugby. Level 2 Coach and qualified Referee (SARU and ENG RFU). Has coached U16A since 2006. Coached U14A at Colston’s School in Bristol for 3 Years.
Played lock for Old Colstonians Rugby Club in Gloucester Premier League and played for UCT 2^nd XV (1996) and UCT 3^rd XV. Now he has the odd run for the Varsity Heroes. Played for Noordhoek Vikings at the 2009 Cape Town Tens.

 

3rd XV – Simon Perkin

Qualified Level 3 Coach.  Started coaching at SACS in 1969, when  Peter Kirsten was U14A!  Coached UCT 1^st XV with Dr Cecil Moss when Club won Grand Challenge.  Coached at age-group ‘A’ Team level and 1^st XV level from 1971 to 2005 at Union High, Rondebosch and here at SACS. Now enjoy stress-free world of 3^rd XV Rugby and all the joys it brings!  Played for UCT U19A team in 1967 before stopping Rugby to focus on Athletics career.

 

5^th XV – Kallie Cromhout

Head of Sport. Level 3 Coach and qualified Club and School Referee (WP/SARU). Has coached U19D since 2006. Coached U14A (2005), 16A (2004), 15A (2003). Played fullback (3^rd team) at RAU for residence (Drommedaris).

 

16A – Paul Giliomee

The best hooker at Bredasdorp High School in 1970[and the only], played for the dorp 1972 –1978, only matches,no training,lived in Cape Town,had the fastest hooking foot that side of Napier ,coached Dale 4^th’,SACS 2^nd since whenever, did a level 1 course at WPRFU successfully, am known to be an expert on forward play especially hooking ,am known to be fair , just , amicable, seldom swears at refs and opposition coaches unless provoked, does not walk on water, was looked at as a reserve hooker for a SWD Invitation team that played a WP INV team in 1974 that lost 123-0,but if they had chosen me, we could have put 3 points on the board because besides hooking I could dropkick but I was always told a hooker is not supposed to kick.

 

 

16B – Andre van Wyk

 

 

Level 2 Coach. Has coached 1^st team level at Milnerton High School for +- 10 years and 1 year at Westering High School. Played prop, lock and flank at UPE 2^nd team (1982) and for Union Milnerton 1^st team (1986).

  

 

16C – Rudy Horn-Botha

WPRFU Level 3 Coach. Coached 2^nd team and A sides for a number of years.

 

 

16D – Simon Pretorius

 

 

15A – Graeme Wepener

WPRFU Level 2 Coach, he has coached the Under 15A for the last two years and before that the Under 14A for two years. Has coached at every level from U20D to 1stXV Assistant at UCT RFC
After injuring his back playing Rondebosch U14A he never excelled on the field and now rates himself as a budding rugby writer.

 

 

15B – Johannes Tereblanch

 

Coaching course at UNW and qualified Referee (SARU). Coached Voortrekker U/15 and U/16 teams from 2006 – 2007. I currently play at Falsbay RFC (where I have been playing from 2006) I play wing, center and fullback for the fourth team and had played for the 2^nd and 3^rd team in the previous 2 years.

 

 

 15C – Hugo de Villiers

 Level 2 Coach (Western Province) and qualified Referee [II] & Linesman [I]. Has coached U16 C & D; U15 C & D [SACS] since 2002 and U19 [Muizenberg] in 2000/1.
Played rugby at school [1985/6] U19 in St. 9 & 10. I must have been the worst fullback & flank in history, but I loved every moment of it…

 

 

15D – Paul Maneveld

14A – Graham Reggiori

 Level 1 Qualification. Coached mostly 14a and 15a at Settlers. Coached 1^st xv 2005- at Settlers. Played most of my senior rugby at inside center (Later moved to tighthead) for Silvertree rugby club.

 

 

 

 

 

14B – Chris Jones

 Coached chiefly at junior age-group level. Four years at Queen’s College, two years at Milnerton and since 1997 at SACS. Closest thing to playing the game still, is six-down touch at Villagers on a Wednesday night!

 

 

 

 

 

14C – Gavin Weber
