While the final score of 23 – 7 in favour of Rondebosch, flattered our hosts they were worthy winners of a fine contest. The game was played in perfect conditions on a crisp autumn morning and was well handled by the referee, Mike Russell. SACS were first to score after a great break by Tristan Shaw whose try was converted by Chad Lawson.  The  3rd XV defended bravely for most of the match but in retrospect our rucking was too soft and the ‘cleaning out’ at the break down was too tentative.

This was a real learning opportunity for the side and we will see if lessons have been learned when we take on Bishops on their Piley Rees First XV Field this coming Saturday.
