Sacs vs Rondebosch

Won 26 – 5

Man of the Match – Tylor Hudson

I think that the team really gelled well as a unit, despite the fact that the week leading up to the game, players were still not certain who would be in the C team. I was especially impressed with the way the forwards rucked at the breakdowns, making the jobs for the scrumhalf much easier. We voted on Taylor Hudson as our man of the match.  He was the leader in defensive game plan, placing pressure on the opposition – forcing them to make mistakes that ultimately resulted in points for us.

Greg Speechly [no.2] had a good game, converting 3 out of the 4 tries. Nick Wagner did his job well playing on the wing and had some awesome breakthroughs.  ‘Chips’ Wonani, the other wing, scored two tries impressing everyone with his awesome speed. Angus Mullins, who plays flyhalf for the team, did an exceptional job clearing the line when SACS were awarded penalties [4 to SACS and 19 to RBHS?]. Joshua Jones, no.8 and Nicholas van Graan [lock] each scored one of the total of four tries.

The key to our success was teamwork. The Backs and Forwards worked as a team and not as two individual units.
