Cape Schools Week Results

SACS beat Dale College

SACS 1st XV claimed their third victory at Cape Schools Week by beating hosts, Dale 23 – 16 on Wednesday 29 June. The victory caps off an unbeaten run at the festival, something many SACS supporters did not think possible after the team struggled to gain any winning momentum in the first term. At times the team played well, but could not finish the top teams off, but after the massive wins at Cape Schools Week, supporters now hope the winning trend will continue!

Tries by Storm Winter and Brendan Rodgers provided the confidence boosters for the team, while the impressive boot of Chris Smith kicked 13 points to ensure SACS came out victorious.

Well done boys, this is a massive achievement so savour the moment and come back ready for the 3rd term!

Well done to everyone who was involved in the development of this side. its amazing what a big dose of self confidence can do to get a side over the tipping point! These results are fantastic and given the quality of the opposition the SACSIES are standing proud again – the SAC is the College for me!!

  12. SACS23 says:

Well done boys, another win for SACS. That is what we talking about, you have the talent just use it.

  13. @ Reality says:

The grey PE side was seen as their 1st XV and they were thrashed! SACS played with many injuries throughout the season and they made no excuses. It seems that the EC schools are always full of excuses, and the overated Grey team is none the better. Grey has over 800 kids to select from, and besides, i think 17 nil is quite convincing. Paarl Gim played with their CW players, so no excuses for Grey PE. Well done SACS on beating Muir today!

  14. reality says:

Don’t want to be a party pooper but Grey were without 9 of their 1st team squad! Next 2 matches will be the acid test.

  15. SACS23 says:

And a quick word to the grade 11′s in the side, having had a hand in coaching most of you last year, the talent is most definitely there, just keep working hard! Well done again

  17. RubgyFan says:

This is what I’m talking about boys. GREAT performance…now a 50 for Muir and then a tough encounter against the fast backline of Dale. You beat them with structured rugby. WELL DONE BOYS. WE OLD BOYS WILL FEATURE MORE ON THE WAR MEMORIAL IF YOU KEEP THIS UP. SOO PROUD
