Tomorrows Sevens Quadrangular is going to be a great day for many reasons. We decided that we would let you know the top 7 reasons.
1.The Development and Quality of Sevens
During the season some quality rugby has been played by all four schools, with some of the schools being stronger in certain age groups than others. In Sevens it’s anyone’s game and season’s losses in the 15man format can be turned into victories on the Sevens field. This is the chance for teams to secure their title as the best age group team in the Southern Suburbs, whilst others get a shot as redemption.
The single most important thing about this tournament is that the kids are going to be playing Sevens – a sport that can lead players to Olympic glory. If our Blitzboks – and Springboks – want to get better, then development of Sevens has to start at grass root level. That is why the focus is only on U14s, U15s and U16s.
2.Meet Blitzbok Captain and Olympian Kyle Brown
Apart from being one of the most recognised and longest serving Blitzboks on the World Series circuit. SACS’ very own Kyle Brown is now an Olympian bronze medallist and only the 2nd ever SACS Old Boy to make it to the Olympics. Come down and mingle with Kyle and his fellow teammates while they watch the future stars of the Sevens Series.
3.Great festival-like atmosphere
This day out will have a festival feel like no other. This is only the second time that these four schools will go head to head for Sevens glory and the intensity on the field is going to make for a great atmosphere off it.
4. Some of the best coffee you’ll taste
We are lucky enough to have one of the most successful and greatest tasting coffee trucks available on Saturday. Café Duo served hundreds of perfectly pulled and poured coffees last year and this weekend they will once again make sure everyone gets their caffeine fix. If you are thinking about having a good cup of coffee in the morning, why not get it from Café Duo.
5. Food trucks
Similar to last year we will be having some fantastic food on offer from various food trucks. The variety and quality of food on offer will suite everyone’s needs and will be sure to leave you feeling satisfied. If you are looking for a something a little different to your usual Saturday breakfast or lunch then make sure you there.
6. Family day out, with jumping castles
This really is a day for the whole family. There will be a jumping castle and child minders for the kids, on field entertainment for the moms and dads and of course great food and coffee. Grab your nearest relative, strap in the baby and set the family cars’ GPS to SACS.
7. It’s the best thing to do on a Saturday morning
If you love schoolboy rugby then this will be the best option for your Saturday morning. Like every other schoolboy match that is played on Saturday this one is going to be great. What makes this more special is that all 4 of the traditional boys schools will be competing for top honours.
Folks it’s going to be an absolute cracker.
