Okay so I have to admit that the first time I saw Kyle Brown play was last year in the Varsity Cup, for UCT. Back then I thought he was a decent player who could step it up and make an impression on a bigger stage. Well, Sunday 5th April, I saw Kyle pull off a couple of stunning tackles that kept SA in the game against the big boys. In the final, when the game was still very tight he hung on to a Kenyan antelope and managed to close down a move that could have had us stretched to the limit. After that we managed two tries that eventually sealed the victory for SA. Well done Kyle. You are an inspiration to the SACS players. Good Luck with the final rounds.

Let’s hope more of our SACS men, show the same character and passion when they pull their jerseys over their heads this year. It’s going to be a huge year for our rugby.

Our legendary Old Boy, and fantastic Springbok fullback (although I still think he was good at centre), celebrates his birthday today. Congrats Monty! From all of us here at SACSRUGBY.com. Still showing his class Monty played a huge part in the destruction of the Lions yesterday. Will we be saying the same thing in a few months, when the other Lions are here? Those classy offloads were sublime Monty. Have a fantastic day……and good luck with the rest of the season.
