SACS Springboks

 

SACS has produced 29 Springboks and two 7′s Springboks to date. 

Some of the famous names include Ben Duff (number 1  on the Springbok list), Billy Millar,  the 3 Luyt brothers (the only 3 brothers in rugby history to play together in a test) Clive van Ryneveld, Frank Mellish , Frank Waring , Cecil Moss and Percy Montgomery who was the 1st Springbok to reach 100 Caps and at the time of his retirement from International Test Rugby, Percy held 94 Springbok records.

Some of his Springbok records include: Most tests as a fullback (87); Most tries in tests as a fullback (18); Most test points (893); Most conversions in tests (153); Most penalty goals in tests (148) and he scored the most points in RWC 2007 (105).

In the junior Springboks, Paul Delport is the only player in the history of the game to have captained successive winning World Cup sides : 2003 Under 19 and 2005 Under 21
