10a vs WPPS

In 1stXV MATCH REPORTS, Junior School, Other Teams

We started our second term of rugby playing Wetpups away. The game started off evenly for the first 5 mins and then Wetpups managed to score 3 tries in quick succession of which two were converted. We then seemed to get back into the game and Andrew Good scored a great try just before half time with Oliver Finley converting. At half time the score was 19/7 to Wetpups. The second half saw us with the majority of the possession however this did not convert into points. Wetpups finely got hold of the ball and scored a quick try and converted. We then came back and drove the ball nicely resulting in Rayaan Hendriks managing to score in the corner and Oliver again kicked a successful conversion. With one minute left on the clock we let through another Wetpups try pushing the final score to31/14 in WPPS favour. With all our possession I don’t believe the score was a true reflection of the game. Going forward we must convert possession into points.
