11b vs Bishops

In 1stXV MATCH REPORTS, Junior School, Other Teams

Bishops won the toss on Saturday in cloudy weather with a slight drizzle.  Bishops kicked off, forcing SACS to hold a good defence.  SACS dominated the rucks in the first half, despite Bishops managing two strong runs towards the SACS try-line by their wings.  Even though Adam Wilson made two solid try saving tackles, Bishops managed to score, taking the score in the first half to 5-0.

The second half saw Bishops step up the pace, scoring again early in the half.  SACS attacked back and Ethan Devine added 5 points to the SACS scoreboard.  Ross Lindsay failed to add the extra conversion points.  The final whistle ended the game at 10-5 in Bishops’ favour.

Thanks to the team for a solid performance against one of our biggest rivals.  Next week we’ll be better prepared to take on Rondebosch.
