12B match report against DPHS

In 1stXV MATCH REPORTS, Junior School, Other Teams

SACS UNDER 12B v DPHS OPEN E

It was a sunny day but the fields were still a bit wet after the big rainstorms earlier in the week. We kicked off playing into the sun only half awake allowing DPHS to score an early try down the wing, which they did not convert. This knocked us into action and thanks to a very strong run from Joe Ruiz von Walter Ayoob was able to get over the line and score a try, which Ross Lindsay converted. This gave us a 2 point lead. Matthew fall had a good run off the restart but picked up a nasty injury and was forced to leave the field.

The first half was ended early to allow Matthew and a DPHS player to receive treatment for their injuries.   The score at the interval was 7-5 to us.

We fought hardly throughout the second half of our match but unfortunately we were unable to hold them off for this length of time.  They scored a lucky intercept try near the end of the game and proceeded to convert it leaving the final at 12-7 to them, hard luck boys.
