15c vs Bishops

Due to the many public and school holidays we had a late start to the season, but this did not dampen the mood of the team as we were fired up and ready to go! After winning the toss, we elected to receive.

We knew that the opening few minutes would be crucial and made some strong tackles and impressive runs. Bishops’ defence finally broke and Michael Liebenberg, our flyhalf, dotted down for a try. We carried on with our well-structured play and reached half time with three tries under our belt.        SACS – 19 Bishops – 0

At half time our coach asked us to be more competitive at ruck time. With this in mind, we set out to carry on with our good work from the first half. On the day we were too much for Bishops and with three more tries from our forwards, we wrapped up the game. End Result: SACS – 40 Bishops – 0

I think this is an excellent start to the season and I hope we can carry on with this good form in our next game against Rondebosch.
