U10B match report vs. Kirstenhof A Side

We arrived at SACS and immediately started warming up for our game. In the first half we came onto the field a bit relaxed and had probably underestimated Kirstenhof. They started very strong with two quick tries being scored, which caught us by surprise. We managed to score one of our own but then let them score another try due to bad defence and found ourselves 5-19 down.

At half time we had a good team talk between myself, the grade 7’s who were helping out and Mr Wienekus, and ran back onto the field with the team ready to fight back. We scored early and started believing we could win the game. We also had great support from the SACS parents who cheered us on as we fought back. As we started getting more and more ball, we attacked with everything we had. A few brilliant tries later, and we had won the game 29-19.

I was so proud of my team for the way we fought back, and for believing in ourselves.

Well done boys! Our blood will always be blue!

 Final Score: 29-19
