11a match report vs Wynberg

In 1stXV MATCH REPORTS, Junior School, Other Teams

Our last game of our U11 rugby season was played against Wynberg on their home ground. After drawing the game against them in our previous encounter we were fired up to win this game. The first half was dominated by Wynberg however our defense held strong and they were unable to score. We also had some missed opportunities and we went into half time with no score on the board. The second half however saw SACS dominate with two fantastic tries being scored by Cameron Drummond-Hay and Oliver Finley. Oliver converted the second try. Wynberg managed to score from a 5m scrum which was converted. The final few minutes of the game saw Wynberg camping on our 5m line however our forwards held strong and all powered into the ruck resulting in a turnover ball which we kicked out. Final score 12/7 to SACS. An incredible team effort for our last game – Well Done!!!
