SACS vs BISHOPS Preview
The Diocesan College (Bishops) hosts The South African College High School (SACS) on the Piley Rees field this Saturday. The two teams are thought to have first played each other in 1863, over 150 years-ago, making this the oldest recorded rugby match in South Africa. Both teams have shown superb early season form with SACS toppling the likes of Dale College, Affies and Boland Landbou and Bishops winning against St Andrews before beating Paarl Gym and then trouncing both KES and Pretoria Boys High. The highly anticipated clash promises to be a tightly contested derby with both teams looking to stretch their opponents, using the width of the park to open up space for their runners to attack. With the weather perfect on the weekend and with a Stormers match at Newlands to look forward to later in the day, Bishops will be the place to be on Saturday morning.
