10a match report against Sweet Valley

On a cold Saturday morning we played against a well drilled Sweet Valley side.

We did not know what to expect from them. The game started off at a high tempo, neither team backed down, and some hard tackling was done by both teams.

Once we found our rhythm we held the upper hand in both lineouts and scrums. The first half ended with SACS leading 10 – 7. The half time pep talk from our coach was very encouraging. The second half started with two quick tries by SACS which were converted by Josh Opperman. Sweet Valley was not a side to give up and ran at us at every opportunity, but solid defence held them out.

Final score 24-7 to SACS.
