11a vs Primrose

In 1stXV MATCH REPORTS, Junior School, Other Teams

Primrose kicked off on one of the worst days of the season so far.  We started off to a very slow start, due to the exceptionally strong wind conditions.  We could not break through their defence, but for ¾ of the half, we were in their territory.  We sadly could not score a try before the half time whistle blew.  It was a tremendously tiring first half for the team.

1st half = 0-0

Mr Faure motivated us during the break and the team was determined to win. Michael Levitt was able to break through their defence and score a try in the left corner of the field. Sadly this was not converted. Finally some points were on the scoreboard and this enthusiasm led to good teamwork resulting in another try by Michael. This one was converted.

Towards the end of the game, we were on their try line, but gave away a penalty. Primrose decided to kick the ball away. I caught the ball and scored our teams’ third try. Michael converted it and the game was over.

End of game = 17-0

Special mention to Joseph Ruiz von Walter for an excellent game against Primrose.
