11b vs Eversdal
Saturday’s match for the U11B team at Eversdal started early with temperatures under 10 degrees and snow-capped mountain peaks in the background.
My team won the toss, and decided to receive. Even though we played barefoot, Ethan Devine had some solid runs at the Eversdal try-line, but it was Dominic Scott who finally scored, taking the lead to 5-0.
The second try was scored by Adam Wilson in the corner, adding a further 5 points to the SACS score. After more of the SACS pressure from the forwards, Matthew Paul added a further 5 points to the tally for the forwards, and Simon Bean scored after backline pressure, taking the score to 20-0 at half time.
The second half saw Eversdal hold back the SACS attack, until Matthew Fall finally broke through to take the score to 25-0. Despite Matthew McKenzie’s good efforts, SACS were unable to convert any of the tries.
The final whistle ended the game on 25-0 to SACS.
Well done to my team for a great win. I think we all played incredibly well.
