11b vs WPPS

In 1stXV MATCH REPORTS, Junior School, Other Teams

Saturday dawned a cold and wet morning for the SACS’s match against WPPS.  WPPS won the toss and decided to receive, playing with the wind in the first half. WPPS dominated the rucks and scrums from the start, and before long, intercepted the SACS backline.  Dom Scott chased hard, but was not successful and WPPS took an early lead with 5 points to 0.

SACS fought back, managed to steal the ball and hold it for a while. But WPPS managed to intercept the ball for the 2nd time and scored under poles.  WPPS managed to convert the 2 extra points taking the score to 12-0.  SACS made our way up the field with Jo van Heerden scoring in the corner.  Ross Lindsay missed the kick taking the score to 12-5 at half-time.

WPPS kicked to us and we got off to a strong start dominating the rucks until Jabu Wyne finally scored.  Ross Lindsay missed the conversion taking the score to 12-10. SACS managed to keep up a strong defence, but the final score remained at 12-10 to WPPS.

Well done to my team for another great performance.
