11c vs Wynberg

Our last game of the season and we were at home against Wynberg. We were playing on the Atkinson field so we expected a low scoring game with not much space to use our wings.

 

On a cool but sunny morning we kicked off towards the mountain and soon had Wynberg going backwards as we rucked and pushed them off the ball despite their weight advantage.  We soon created a break and Tom ran in our first try on the left wing.

 

We continued the good work and Tom scored two more tries to get a quick ‘hat trick’ followed by a try under the posts by Chris.

 

The half time score was 27 – 0.

 

 

In the second half we continued to play well and the Wynberg team were getting tired.  We took advantage and continued to push forward and attack and scored another three tries (Gareth 2 & Ayyob 1).

 

The final score was 42 – 0.  A fantastic way to end a great season.
