13a match report against RBPS
On a misty Saturday morning we were up against a very strong and physical Rondebosch side. We started strong with all the forwards doing their jobs by rucking well and retaining the ball allowing quick play, which led to the first try of the game. They kicked off straight away and we built up a few phases until we spread it wide unleashing our wings to complete a great team try. But unfortunately just before half time there was an injury to our scrumhalf Dylan which shifted the mood of the second half. Half time score 10-0 to SACS.
The second half started strong but our discipline let us down, conceding a few penalties we found ourselves on our tryline defending our hearts out. Our defence held firmly and with a few great hits we managed to retain the ball and surprise them with great strength and pace from our runners. With only a few minutes to go we kept it with the forwards and managed to unleash our mobile prop who flew down the wing running half the field to score in the corner. Final score 15-0 to SACS.
Well done to the boys on a great team performance.
Special mentions got to Euan Swart for having a great game.
