15c vs RBHS

In 1stXV MATCH REPORTS, High School, Other Teams

The weather had been typical Newlands weather but it had cleared up perfectly by Saturday morning for our game.  Rondebosch were our toughest local rivals the previuos season and we knew it will be an exciting encounter.

Despite a good warm up session, we were slow getting into our rhythm, but a try from Dylan Bray and a converted penalty settled the nerves.  We continued with our solid defence and great running rugby from the backline and it was SACS-15 Rondebosch-0 at halftime

We started the second half just like the first and with two spectacular tries from our centre George Laurie we were comfortably in the driving seat.

In the last minute of the game, our fitness let us down and we allowed Bosch to sneak in for a consolation try.  Overall it was a good performance from the team.

End result: SACS-34 Rondebosch-7
