2ndXV match report vs Paarl Gim
A far better performance from this spirited side. The boys came out guns blazing and put the hosts under a lot of pressure in the first few minutes. Paarl Gim managed to get onto the ball very quickly to turn us over at crucial moments. It was good to see Lance Steytler back on the paddock in his usual position. He carried the ball strongly, closely supported by Nishen Naidoo, Ollie Schuurmans and Stuart Wishart. Kyle Boyd kicked too long distance penalties to keep us in the game. A poor kick up the midfield, which was then poorly defended let Paarl Gim in for a try in the last 6 minutes of the game to make it a bridge too far to climb.
The game was played in good spirit and I was very pleased with their performance this week.
Final score: SACS 6 Paarl Gim 19
Penalty: Boyd (2)
