Junior School Rugby Report 2013
When one looks back at a rugby season we often measure the success/failure on
the results achieved and forget about the bigger picture.
I can honestly say as a school, that from Mini-Rugby to u13 level, we are
trying to give the boys enough skills and techniques in order for them to enjoy
this beautiful game. Unfortunately in Junior School, size plays a big part and
this is why, as Coaches, it is important that we Educate the boys enough
so that when size doesn’t play a part the more skillfull player will win in the
long run.
SACS Rugby is strong and alive due to the immense depth in all ages (u10-u13
having 4 teams per age group) and the proof is in the pudding when you see
gr1’s to gr7’s having a “jol” on the rugby field. It wouldn’t
be strong without the following people who I would like to Thank (no
particular order):
– The Tuckshop and PTA for always giving of their best to make sure Rugby @
SACS is an experience not to forget.
– The parents for supporting the SACS brand through THICK AND THIN.
– The SACS Percy Montgomery Rugby Foundation for their ongoing support and
making sure we have everything we need to improve Sacs Rugby.
– To all the coaches (from the “nursery” Mini-rugby to the
u13coaches) – A HUGE THANK YOU for your hours of commitment and passion.
The game of rugby is lucky to have all of you involved.
-Last but not least- TO THE BOYS- Thanks to all of you for representing the
SACS JERSEY and always giving of your best. The Pride and Passion you showed is
incredible and you must remember the life lessons you learnt on the way.
In closing I would like to think that RUGBY WAS THE WINNER!
