12b match report vs Kirstenhof
SACS UNDER 12B v KIRSTENHOF UNDER 12A
6 June 2015
We arrived missing half our usual front row but thanks to Tom Brocklehurst and Aiden Bernard we were able to run onto the field with a full team. We lost the toss and started playing into the sun from our kick off.
We began strongly and after some good attacking play and passing down the back line, Jabulani Wyne was able to get the over the line on the wing. The score now was 5-0 to us. We kept up the good work especially in the scrums, and towards the end of the half James Milne scored right next to the poles. Matt Mckenzie was able to convert with a good kick. The score was 12-0 at the end of the first half.
In the second half Kirstenhof came back hard and, at the same time, we slacked off. They scored an unconverted try bringing the score to 12-5. We let in another soft try which they failed to convert, making the score 10-12. Now that we realized they were coming back to win we fought very hard and Mathew Fall almost got the ball over the line in the last minute.
We won the match 12-10. Well done on the team’s performance.
