13a match report against RBPS
U13A Match Report vs Bosch
On Saturday we played our last junior school rugby match in our striped jerseys.
Bosch kicked off and immediately put us under pressure. After countless penalties going in their favour they spread the ball wide and scored in the corner, it was not converted.
We immediately raised our game and kept the ball in hand but again after a penalty they kicked for touch. We won the line out but knocked the ball on and they scored off this error. The try was converted and we were now 12/nil down.
After some great forward play and intense pressure we were awarded a penalty try. This positive play continued with Matt breaking the line and scoring a great try under the polls which Ollie converted.
Half time score 14/12 to SACS
The second half continued in much the same way as the first and we missed a few opportunities to score. Bosch then managed to come back with a try that was not converted followed by Rayaan scoring a further try for SACS which Ollie converted. We were now 21/17 in the lead. With one minute on the clock we got a penalty on our line but failed to find touch resulting in them scoring the last try in the dying seconds of the game and winning 22/21.
Luck was not on our side but let’s bring home a big win on Saturday against Wynberg.
